Nóra Lakos
Film director, producer and the founder of Cinemira International Children's Film Festival. She graduated as a film director at the University of Theatre and Film Arts Budapest in 2010 and studied film directing at London Film School and at INSAS Brussels. Her short films (Edina, Seven Suitcases, Home) and documentary film (Hungarian Moustache) were selected to many international film festivals and won several awards. Her first feature film, Cream, was released in 2020 and it won the Gilda Award for the Best Feature Film at the “Cinema e Donne” International Women's Film Festival. She is currently working on the screenplay for her next feature film, which is an adaptation of the Dutch novel How I Accidentally Wrote a Book.
She is dedicated to revive children's films and films for teens in Hungary. In 2014 she founded the Children's Film Academy where she organizes filmmaking workshops for the youngest generation, develops live-action and animated films, and online series. From 2018 she has been organizing Cinemira International Children's Film Festival, where the young audiences can watch outstanding films from around the world.
